Ok, let's get past some of the messy, pseudo-eschatological blunders that under-gird the premise of this game, and get right to the heart of this game's innate idiocy. Who would develop a Christian video game that allows the gamer to play on the side of Christ or against Christ and for the Antichrist? That would be just as lame as a "Passion of the Christ" video game that features a multiplayer option for being a disciple or a Roman soldier that flogs and crucifies Jesus! Doesn't anybody think this stuff through?
I think the appropriate punishment for the brainless developers of this game would be to sit through all the "Left Behind" dvd movies in one sitting, followed by a 3-hour, southern gospel banjo presentation of Handel's Messiah.

Hilarious! I think your proposed punishment is not severe enough. I think you should add a tag-team reading of all of the Left Behind novels, by Gilbert Gottfriend, Bobcat Goldthwaite, and Janice from Friends.

This statement is posted from an employee of Left Behind Games on behalf of Troy Lyndon, our Chief Executive Officer.
There has been in incredible amount of MISINFORMATION published in the media and in online blogs here and elsewhere.
Pacifist Christians and other groups are taking the game material out of context to support their own causes. There is NO “killing in the name of God” and NO “convert or die”. There are NO “negative portrayals of Muslims” and there are NO “points for killing”.
Please play the game demo for yourself (to at least level 5 of 40) to get an accurate perspective, or listen to what CREDIBLE unbiased experts are saying after reviewing the game at http://www.leftbehindgames.com/pages/controversy.htm
Then, we’d love to hear your feedback as an informed player.
The reality is that we’re receiving reports everyday of how this game is positively affecting lives by all who play it.
Thank you for taking the time to be a responsible blogger.

Sorry, sjrnyc,
When you offer us the multiplayer option of fighting with the forces of the Antichrist, you’ve lost me. I find this game to be an exercise in mind-numbing stupidity.
I’ll get that recording of Handel’s Messiah on the banjo ready for you.

sadly Jim it is the “messy, pseudo-eschatological blunders” that are the heart of the games innate idiocy. Every think that says “left behind” on it, endorses a radical and erroneous eschatology (dual-covenant) that is tantamount to believing there are multiple ways to heaven. It only makes sense for people to play on the side of the anti-christ since the whole book series is a fulfillment of the true understanding of the beast out of the earth in Revelation 13. That is anti-christian religion.
Any doctrine that allows for a way to God outside of the blood of Christ is by definition, “anti-christian”. Hence the belief that ethnic jews are God’s chosen people and will be worshiping alongside us in heaven WITHOUT believing in Jesus, is anti-christian.

Daniel,
You’ve adopted my argument tactic. If it’s not in line with the gospel, it’s wrong.
